Height 35 mm (1.38 inch), diameter 155 mm (6.10 inch), diameter of footring 80 mm (3.15 inch)

Dish on footring, slightly everted rim. Decorated in underglaze blue with lotus flowers and leaves issuing from a pond with a fence surrounded by a double circle. The sides and rim undecorated. On the reverse a continuous lotus scroll. On the base two circular paper labels that read; 'J.L. Fischer foundation' and 'Jürgen L. Fischer Studycollection'.

The lotus is one of the most loved and beautiful motifs in Chinese art.
