Height 66 mm (5.11 inch), diameter 48 mm (2.56 inch), diameter of mouthrim 26 mm (1.18 inch), diameter of footring 33 mm (1.77 inch)

Baluster shaped vase on footring. Decorated in underglaze blue with around the foot a lotus leaves pattern border. On the body two rows of six moulded panels, the lower, lotus-petal shape panels are filled with a flowering plant alternating with two panels filled with little dancing boys, the upper panels show a panel filled with a flowering plant alternating with two panels filled with a 'Long Eliza' figure holding a flower. Around the shoulder panels filled with flowers and a zig-zag lines border. On the neck various flowering plants. Marked on the base with the single character mark: Yu, (Jade (Yuan to Qing)), in underglaze blue.

The Yu, 'jade', character mark is traditionally called the F-mark in the Netherlands and is very common on good-quality blue and white Kangxi export porcelain. (Jörg & Van Campen 1997, p.115)

Condition: A tiny J- and Y-shaped hairline both to the rim and some glaze rough spots.
